Wow, what an exciting day! After a lovely breakfast we went back to the room to get ready for a walk. We went back down to the lobby and when we exited the elevator we were met by the hotel staff singing and dancing around the lobby. This dance routine was for their rugby team the Springboks. It was a very interesting thing to see so we decided to go watch the Rugby World Cup and cheered on the Springboks of SA against the Lions of England. After a back and forth first half the Springboks took control and scored 2 Try’s and beat the Lions by 20 points, which is a very large margin of victory in rugby. We watched the match from a bar, of course, and you could feel the energy change as the different teams had the advantage. The small amount of English fans were certainly drowned out by the SA fans.

After the match we took a diamond museum tour that was very informative and at the end of the tour perused the various diamonds and tanzanite for sale in the shop. After a walk around the harbor and a nice snack of flourless chocolate cake and a cinnamon croissant, we went back to the hotel to take a nap before dinner. We ate dinner at a nice seafood restaurant and then took a walk and headed back to the hotel for a nightcap. I bought a Springbok jersey and was actually congratulated by several English fans throughout the day. Today was a lot of fun and it is always better when the team you are rooting for wins!
